Migraine Pain Phases

Have you heard that before the migraine attacks you, there are some phases? By knowing the initial phases, you can get prepared for the upcoming migraine attack and even to avoid the migraine to come. The first phase of the initial phase is the prodrome. It is a first sign that will make you become more aware that the migraine is about to come. The symptoms of this phase before the migraine pain comes are the fatigue feeling, the fluctuating mood, diarrhea, more frequent urinating, and so on. You may also feel like sleepy more often than usual. Even though the symptoms of this phase are different for each person suffering from the migraine headache, those symptoms are the general ones that usually occur. The next phase is the aura. It is a phase where the migraine is really close and its coming way is more notable.

Before the migraine pain attacks, usually the aura is coming first. It is a strong feeling of the hallucination. This phase is when you see image differently as its original shape. The strongest sub phase in this phase is that you can lose half of your sight. Thus, you can not see a complete image because you will lose a half sight of the object you are looking at. The migraine pain is the central phase of it. It is when the migraine is inclining and culminating. Your senses’ sensitivity will increase along with the pain. The last phase is the postdrome where you feel like hangover and very tired.

The onset of migraine, for me, is always preceded by sleepiness and mood swings. I can predict most of the time when migraine will set in.
